The 12th International enviBUILD 2017 Conference

will be held in Vienna, Austria, on September 7 and 8 2017 at the TU Wien, and will focus on a number of topics related to the built environment. Located in vibrant Central Europe, the conference not only offers the unique opportunity to present, and publish latest scientific developments, but to discuss findings with fellow researchers from different academic and other institutional backgrounds from all over central Europe. Prospect Participants are encouraged to submit their abstracts pertaining to the conference topics. We expect cutting edge research papers addressing recent progresses and future directions in the field of building physics, sustainability, healthy built environments, building materials, building envelope systems, integrated building design, design and evaluation indoor environmental conditions, optimization of energy use, and mitigation of environmental impact of buildings.

The conference language is English (all submissions are required in english language). Publication possibility will include conference proceedings (digital) and the opportunity to publish in a Trans-Tech periodical.

To participate in the conference, a registration is required. This registration will be possible via a form on this website soon. You will after registration receive an email with all registration information and the request to confirm. After confirmation you will be provided with a bill (after work).
Authors are requested to submit their abstract via this form as well (minor changes to the abstract are possible later as well). The deadline for abstract submission is the 15th of March 2017. A notification about acceptance/rejection of the abstract will be sent out in the beginning of April 2017. This email also will encompass the payment information. Furthermore, authors of accepted abstracts will receive an e-mail with the login credentials for the publishers portal (this information will be provided mid of April 2017).
Authors of accepted abstracts should prepare their papers in accordance with the template (available here soon). The papers should have a length of 8 pages, and are required to be written in academic English.
Both papers and abstracts will be peer-reviewed. Selected papers will be published in enviBUILD 2017 special topic volume of the Applied Mechanics and Materials journal (ISSN: 1662-7482). The publisher will submit the volume for indexing in Web of Science subsequently.
All abstracts and papers (including not accepted for the Applied Mechanics and Materials) will be published on a CD enviBUILD 2017 Conference Proceedings (own ISBN code). You will be informed about the acceptance of your paper via an e-mail in due time (see Deadlines).
The content of the papers is under the supervision of the authors. Linguistic and major formatting corrections will not be performed by the editor(s). Therefore, authors are strongly urged to follow the template’s instructions.

There are 5 subways, 32 trams und 80 busses in Vienna. The main building of TU Wien is reachable with the lines U1, U2, U4, 62 and the "Badner Bahn" (station = Karlsplatz) and also with the trams D, J, 1 und 2 (station = Opernring). Tickets are available at the airport, at the subway stations and in tobacco shops.
